Brewing Software App for Droids?
« on: March 12, 2012, 07:14:08 pm »
It's funny I look this up on the other sites and google.  No real answers yet.  It's amazing because the board moderators let it turn into bulls*** politics, At&t versus verizon versus iphone et cetera et cetera.  Seems like nobody cares about answering the real question.  Somehow chest thumping seems to be appropriate?  What I'm here to tell you that my pecker is bigger than yours and I have sprint so where's a brewing app for droid?

Well I installed 5 or 6 different apps I found on the market but didn't like them.

Bradley Smith is working on a version of Beersmith for Android and iOS.

Do a search of "beer" and "brew" and you'll find some apps out there. Brewzor Calculator is one.

Brewzor is pretty helpful for the little questions I have while I'm brewing.
I've consumed all of my home brew and still can't relax!  Now what!

yeah, I use brewzor for a lot of the calculations I am trying to make when I am at the LHBS or while brewing.

I've tried a few and haven't been thrilled with any of them.  I'll be looking forward to trying an Android Beersmith app.

If they'd release a tablet that didn't require new apps, I'd buy it and run promash  ;)

I use Beersmith to develop and refine recipes on my PC, and I like the brew-day checklist it provides. Then I email my Beersmith file to my Android phone and open it in Brewzor (the free version), and use that as a shopping list at my LHBS, and to make any recipe adjustments on the fly based on what is or isn't in stock. Works fine for me.

iBrewmaster is coming out with a version for Droids.  It was supposed to be release in Feb. but it looks like it has been pushed back a bit.
What's the worst that could happen?  Beer?
