What's Brewing This Weekend - 3/16 Edition
« on: March 14, 2012, 10:20:43 am »
Are you gearing up for a Saint Patrick's inspired brew day?

Are you gearing up to brew at all?

For me, last week's brewing cleanup continues along with our annual Mead tasting and maybe, just maybe, a brew day in there somewhere.

This weekend, actually on Monday, we are brewing up 11 gallons of a Belgian Blond. Fermentation will be done in 14.6gal Blichmann conical in my cellar at 60F.

Doing some fining on some beers, kegging and bottling for NHC entries.

No brewing for a while.  Everything is full!

I can't brew, I'm going to Madison with the girlfriend to visit some friends and drink beer up there.  Think I'll have to pick up some New Glarus.

Not brewing this weekend.  May bottle a wheat I made last Saturday.  It depends on where the batch has gotten to.  I have next week off for Spring Break in Des Moines.  I'm planning on doing a couple of batches next week but haven't decided what yet.

This weekend's project is to finally vent the upstairs bathroom out through the roof.  If a gust of wind catches me off guard, it's been nice visiting with you.   I'll be working three stories up. ;)

Other than that, a keg blew last night so my cleaning pile is growing again.

No brewing this weekend.  Just kegged the last NHC beer last night and so the serving freezer is overflowing with kegs.  Need to get some of that bottled to send to the comp and give away to make room for more brewing.

If the rain lets up long enough friday night I will brew 10 gallons of rye stout.

This is NOT a celebration of the christians driving all the pagan kings out of ireland, I just like stout.

Got a English Barleywine brewing now.  Tossing that onto the yeast cake from a northern brown from a couple of weeks ago.

Either an American Brown, or a BoPils, depending on when my bulk grain buy comes in. And racking a Saison into a barrel along with some Brett.

Brewing my House IPA for my brother's wedding on Memorial Day weekend.  Going to brew my House Amber next week for the same occasion.  Will bottle both brews and have custom labels printed.  This is the first time I've brewed for something like this -- very excited!
