Something I LOVE about cans - when travelling, I can pack far more cans into my checked baggage because there is much less concern about them breaking (and they can be packed right next to each other). Once I checked an entire 18count case of 12oz cans in the bag I normally use as a carry-on. With bottles I might trust 4 in there.

I favor canned beer for most of the reasons stated above.  I typically pour it into a glass to drink, but don't feel absolutely compelled to do so.  Plus cans are lighter when I take out the recycling bin.

...and quieter at 6 in the morning.

They seem to make the guy in the pickup truck that goes through the trash pretty happy, too.

I'm sipping on a can of Torpedo as I write this.  I forgot one of the joys of drinking from the can... the opener tab keeps yanking out moustache hairs...  ow!   :o

Do you like it better in the can... :o

...or

do you prefer it in the glass.

I like it in the glass. Much better aroma that way.

If I can only get cans, it has to be poured into a glass. I hate licking aluminum.

Words to live by. :)

I usually pour my beer into a glass, whether it comes in a bottle or a can.

I have my 14 year old pour it into the beer bong. No touching aluminum for me, either.

I haven't shotgunned a beer in over a decade. May just have to try that with a torpedo for old time sakes.

But seriously, it was way nicer cleaning up empty Harpoon Summer cans after my cookouts last summer than bottles.
