critique number 2

Ok. Im coming up with a receipe for a good description of my son and his personality

1. 10lbs Simpsons Golden Promise
2. .50lbs Weyerman Melandodin
3. 1lbs Simpsons CaraMalt
4. 2lbs English Dark Crystal
5. 1lbs Crisp Brown Malt
6. 1lbs Chocolate Rye

Hops .50oz of Warrior  60 mins
        .50oz of Northern Brewer 45 mins
         .50oz of East Kent Golding 15 mins

Yeast Scottish Ale 1728

Still working on temps and rest periods.

With a lb. of caramalt, I'd cut back on the crystal.  Or vice versa.

Thanks for the feedback.  Would it be too sweet or just off setting with the receipe as is.

If the hops you intend to use are average AA, I think it would be far too sweet.  If you want to use that amount of cara malts, you might consider increasing the hops to balance.  Or brew it as is, assess it, and make any changes you want to in the next batch.
