Intro - 2brewishuman
« on: April 26, 2012, 06:12:40 am »
Greetings all! I didn't see an introductions folder, so if I missed it, I apologize.

I'm a fairly new home brewer, started about 2 years ago with a horrid nut brown ale.  Not sure what I did wrong, but it was really bad tasting  I hung up my brew kettle until early this year.  The bug has re-bitten and I've jumped into the wort with 2 feet!  I have several beers under my belt now and realize that sanitation can't be understated! I currently have a stout I call Slop Bucket, a strawberry kiwi ale called Summer's Breeze, (almost called Summers Eve, but came to my senses) and a Belgian ale called Illuminati Socks.  I've also made approximately 15 gallons of mead in a variety of flavors.

Brewing is fun... But can get expensive! Even though a glass of beer only ends up costing about .50 cents, the incidentals can get pricey!  I am considering all grain brewing, having only done extract and partial mash stuff up until this point.  Mash tun, Lauder tun, immersion chillers... Little parts at a time.  I'll get there!

Looking forward to learning more and more.

Sup Hoss!  Care to share the recipe for kiwi strawberry ale?  How did it come out?
