I also drain my cooled wort through about 30 feet of 3/8 tubing, cut into 10 foot pieces .  I use double barbs with hose clamps to make the system more manageable. 

I know what your asking and yes, it is a pain to disconnect but, its better than carrying full carboys down my cellar bulkhead stairs.
