I was one of the unfortunate souls caught by the quick sellout of the Seattle conference. Somehow I managed to reserve a hotel room, but I wasn't able to register in time.

I put my name on the waiting list on or about Feb. 6, but three months later I haven't heard a word about any slots opening up and I'm starting to be concerned. I will need to make plane reservations soon, or otherwise forget about the whole thing and cancel my room reservation.

This was going to my first AHA conference. Anyone have some advice, wisdom or inside knowledge to share for what I should do? Continue to wait? Give up hope? Go anyway without at ticket and just sob uncontrollably in the hotel lobby?

I think you should contact the AHA and see how it is going.  Unfortunately though, I think they might be done with the wait list. :(
