stay off the treadmills. i see way too many medial collateral ligament injuries on those damn things.
What's the reason for that? I've been doing my running on the treadmill for now. My thought was to get up to the point where I could do a decent amount of distance before I subject myself to public humiliation.
in general, walking and on an incline they are not too bad, but remember that when you run on a treadmill, it runs back, i think it accelerates the foot more than what is anticipated and causes a little knee strain. clearly it is not everybody, but most of my knee pains when they describe it along the edge of the knee cap , i will ask if they run on a treadmill - usually they say yes. it is usually on the medial aspect but sometimes on the lateral.
going back to my earlier post (sorry for all of them but getting caught up) about the number of calories burned during exercise in terms of using exercise for weight loss - how many does your treadmill record over how long an exercise period.
also i am getting a fishing license this week.
