Well, it's May 4th and first round results are not yet posted.  Looks like Chicago is still processing.  (whatever that means)

I thought last year it said "by the end of the day on..."  but don't see that there this year.  I'm sure they will be posted by the end of the day unless some act of god happens.  Janis is working very hard on this and as always, she will come through.

Agreed.  Plus, with all the entries this year, I'm sure they are all having "fun" in Colorado......

If your life long goal is to win a medal (or ninkasi) then you will be there to sign up for it. ITS THAT SIMPLE.

Damn straight. If someone isn't willing to take a day off work to enter the NHC, they probably aren't a very good brewer anyway.

Why would you need to take a day off of work?  I thought there were available sites to enter for a few days?

If I recall correctly every region was filled up by the second day.  Though maybe my memory is off and you're right.  The S.F. region was filled up by just after 6pm (local time) the first day.

Janis is working her butt off to get these results up.  45 minutes ago she said she was processing the last region and that she hopes to get them posted by the end of the day.

Here's a proposal.

Raise the entry fee by $10 per entry next year.  With 7000 entries this raises an additional $70K for the AHA.  Use the extra money to develop/put in place a web based judging system.

This would allow everyone to get their scoring sheets electronically when the scoring is complete rather than having the sites have to go through the paperwork sorting/mailing process.  It seems like at least one of the judging sites is having difficulties getting these out as timely as others.

Just need to make sure that the computers are water proof.

What's it going to take for you to jack the results and leak them yourself?  8)

LOL.  Well, after these are posted, the only thing left for NHC (before it actually starts) will be waiting for Justin to start selling BNA7 tickets.

Looks like they are up!!

I took second in Light Lager with a Munich Helles.  Glad I didn't drink it all because my score sheet didn't show a place!

Congrats dude.  My big empty box was accurate.  No advance for me.

the same base beer advanced in 2 categories
100% brett fermented golden ale
split 1: dry hopped with lemongrass, 1st place cat23
split 2: aged on champagne grapes, 2nd place cat16 (as 16e)

I've never had any beers advance before, so I'm excited.
Looking forward to seeing my score sheets for feedback.

Congrats to all that advanced. Not for lack of trying, but none of mine advanced this year. 3 went to the mini-BOS, but none were good enough to go on.

My take on this is that I need to brew better beer next year!
