updated bjcp style guidelines

what is the latest version 2008?  i could have sworn there was a 2010 update but can't find it anywhere.

It's 2008.  I have heard that there is an update planned for 2012, but can't confirm that.

the brewers association had style guidlines in a 2010 version which has since been updated to 2012.  Perhaps you were confused with their guidlines.  BA guidlines are not the same as BJCP and are what is used for the GABF and such.
