NHC Certificates...
« on: May 02, 2012, 12:56:00 pm »
I was wondering when AHA sends out certificates for beers that qualified for one at NHC?

If memory serves, the first round site will mail them along with the scoresheets.

I was under the impression the AHA mailed them out after posting first round results.  Though I could totally be wrong.

The whole reason I asked is because I have recently moved and have not been receiving Zymurgy. My account had my previous address listed and they stopped forwarding mail last month. Then I thought about the other things that the AHA might have potentially shipped to me...like certificates :)

The first round site doesn't mail them, they come from the AHA.  I go my scoresheets about a month ago, all in the 30's range and did not receive the certificates.

When we changed our address to a PO box, I missed out on 2 editions of Zymurgy even though I had changed the address on our AHA account. Your address for Zymurgy needs to be changed by following what is listed in the front of the magazine.

Anyone seen ribbons or certificates yet for the first round?  Still waiting over here.   Also if you had some beer advance in a previous year when do they send out the information for the next round?  Just curious, this is our first year entering.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing received yet, but I'm sure it will be soon.  I imagine they work on getting the second round letters out first.  According to the rules, the info for advancing entries will be mailed out by May 25th, and entries can be sent May 29th - June 11th.  All the info you need should be in the packet.

Janis said the packets would be mailed yesterday ( 5/29 ).

Hi everyone,

The addition of the extra competition has impacted my timeline for getting the information out to everyone, so the information, bottle labels, and instructions were e-mailed to all of the winners on Wednesday, May 23rd.

If you have not received the e-mail, look in your Junk , or Spam folder.  If you still don't find it, the package containing the same information plus your ribbons and certificates will be in the mail on Tuesday.  The entry window is from May 29 to June 11, so you have plenty of time to ship your entries.  If you're panicking about it, send me an e-mail to request the information again.  I will try to help everyone, but I don't work 24/7 even though it sometimes seems like I do.

Good luck in the Final Round!

Cheers,
    Janis
