Beer for NHC
« on: May 04, 2012, 12:22:46 pm »
I started a similar thread last year.  It would be great for folks coming to NHC to post what beers they are bringing, and where they will be served.  (Hospitality vs club night, and booth)

Here's what I am bringing:

American Amber
Session IPA
Imperial black IPA
Imperial Stout
West Coast IPA

They will be served at the Washington Homebrewers booth on club nioght, or maybe in the hospitality suite from noon - 2:30 on Friday in the hospitality suite. If you see a bearded guy with a woman both wearing these goofy hop hats, that will be me and SWMBO.

I'm bringing

Rye IPA
Waldo Lake Amber
Wee Shroomy
Tofu Pale Ale
Belgian IPA

Some will be in the hospitality suite, some will be on club night.  Haven't decided which for each, yet.

While I am personally bringing 9 beers, I'm most proud of what my club has been able to put together.  We're bringing 45 kegs being poured over 2 hospitality shifts and club night.  Highlights include:

- A Russian Imperial Stout brewed at Naked City and aged in a Woodinville Whiskey barrel (along with a homebrewed version of it)
- A sour beer aged in a wine barrel that can be sampled alongside a stainless steel version of the same beer
- 4 beers that have been brewed as part of the GABF Pro-Am Competition
- 4 beers with different recipes, but all taking a shot at cloning Pliny the Younger
- 7 beers entered into the second round of the National Homebrew Competition (our club has 15 beers in round 2)

This is coming from the Homebrewers Guild of Seattle Proper.  You can see our full tap list here.

I am bringing myself and my thirst.  Wait till Philly, though, and we'll be serving at club night.

It'll be our turn next year.  I'm already planning the beer to brew for Philly.

Looking forward to trying everyone's beer in Seattle.
