Getting ready for another Nor'easter...
« on: February 04, 2010, 12:43:11 pm »
Yes that's right. I live smack dab right in the middle of the projected path of the next noreaster scheduled to hit tomorrow night. I actually took the day off tomorrow to brew my ESB.

The estimate is 24" for my county.  :o

Looks like I'll be pulling pints and watching the flakes fall on Saturday.  8)

They're calling for 18-24 inches here but I'm getting a bad vibe that it might be somewhat more than that.  They've been under-predicting all season.

I feel for ya Bluesman, I'm in the Philly area so I'm glad I've got a bit of beer on tap.   Gonna sit back watch the flakes and my kids enjoying the snow.

Just make sure the kegerator/keezer is plugged into the generator!!  ;D

You must have piles upon piles of snow by now.  I feel for ya!!
If Homebrew & BBQ aren't the answer, then you're askin' the wrong questions... Cheers!!!

Only if I had a generator and hopefully I won't need one. Wouldn't be a bad idea to own one though.

Latest forecast for the DC area is 18-24 inches but they keep adjusting it upwards!  My back still hurts from shoveling out the last snow we had. >:(

Yeah, me too.  I wouldn't be surprised if this one dumps three feet on us.  The whole area will be shut down for a week.

Yeah, they made the decision to cancel our kids school for tomorrow at 2:00 today.  Who knows if they'll be open at all next week as there's also talk of another storm Tuesday or so.

Yep, Fairfax County canceled schools for tomorrow as well.  My wife's a teacher in Fairfax County and if we get that much snow I seriously doubt she'll be going to work at all next week.  They just don't have anyplace to put it.  I actually enjoy seeing that much snow fall but that's tempered by my complete lack of enjoyment in shoveling it.

Along the Atlantic coast storms track from the Southwest with a counter clockwise rotation bringing the moisture from the Atlantic that feeds the storms into the coastal areas from the Northeast.  Therefore, a Northeaster or Nor'easter.

Or so I've heard.

Well, I'm "getting outta Dodge" (in my case, NJ)   just in time...a few hours before the flakes start falling I'll be on a plane to Los Angeles for a weekend gig.  The trip back Sunday should be interesting...hopefully it'll all be plowed out and over with...
