Works the same way for me (although telecommuting is possible).  Would suspect much of the private sector is that way.

that blows.

The local news shows us right on the line between 3" to 8" and 8" to 12".  We didn't get anything from the last storm, but its been snowing here now for a couple of hours, small almost fine flakes.

My brother inlaw and I were joking about Washington D.C. getting so much snow, how they probably will or did a knee-jerk and ordered 100 snowplows and dump trucks.  Probably be a good sale on them in a few years.   ::)   :D

How timely, they just sent around a reminder on the inclement weather policy...

The latest update shows this storm having more energy than the last one.  :o

So it will move faster......................................... ;D

That's my hope.

One of the guys from my homebrew club has been in DC since last week.  He's supposed to be flying back tomorrow (Wednesday), I wonder when he'll actually get back to CO.

Better pile some snow up above the liquid level there, eh?

Same rules we play by.  Unless the Governor declares a state of emergency, we are expected to show up.

I work for a school district, so every time it snows I'm up early sitting in front of the TV waiting for it to scroll to my district.  Makes me feel 10 years old again!

My son's school district calls with an automated message saying when school is cancelled.  Problem is we get it around 6am...scares the living hell out of me.  I say make them go!!!

The snow started coming down at 7pm... there is about 2 inches right now. It is suppose to continue through the night while two low pressure systems coming up the coast from the Carolina's will combine to form a nor'easter.  :o

Blizzard conditions are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening as winds increase.

Operation: SNWBLR will become effective tomorrow am.

I spent two hours at home depot waiting for the snow shovel fairy to arrive to replace the one I broke on Sunday with no luck.  Guess I'll be begging the neighbors to borrow one of theirs tomorrow.  I swear, if they would have had a snowblower there I would have just slapped down the Amex and bought it even though I have no place to put it and probably wouldn't use it again for another five years.
