Can't brew this weekend.  Going on a short camping trip in our RV/travel trailer.  My son is smart and is staying home.  I'll be going with my wife, 2 daughters and one of their friends.  So, I will have to endure a weekend with SWMBO and 3 teenage girls!  Give me strength!  Better yet, give me beer!   :P

Take a couple cases for your sanity!  :o

You just describe the next year of my life.  My son graduates high school this year and then he's off to Iowa State U. for engineering.  After he's gone it's SWMBO, 3 daughters and me.  Pray for me.   ;)

Oh!! and no brewing this weekend.  Mother's Day and getting ready for the graduation parties.  (one of my daughters graduates from 8th grade this year too.)
Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

No brewing for me this week. Cleaning kegs Friday. Taking Gramma, Mom and Aunt to breakfast on Saturday. Hopwork on Sunday. Letting 20 gal. of Kolsch and Brown Ale roll on. Need to sample the Maibock and BVIP and kick a keg of Oregon Amber to make room for the fresh.

Our club is holding our Big Brew on Saturday.  We're brewing a wheat wine to be aged in a red wine barrel.  Hopefully we'll be serving some next year at the NHC in Philly.

Sounds like a rough weekend!

In honor of Mothers' Day, maybe Gramma, Mom and Aunt should help you 'make room'...

Hefeweizen - probably adding local jam after fermentation (blackberry, boisenberry, persimmon?). Probably going to split and sour part of the batch.

Hopefully brewing enough to top up my two carboy's of Flanders.

Brewing an Amber Ale. I'm looking to get a nice deep red color, any particular recommendations for that?

Other than that, I am getting hooded for my Master's degree on Sunday!

I am brewing a 10-gallon batch of IPA with Amarillo first wort hops and a whole pile of IBU's of Warrior at 20 minutes.

Brewing a black Dunkelweizen also known as the "Schwartz Scheisse." Gonna re-use my yeast cake from a Hefe. This is the first time I'm reusing a yeast cake. I just dumped it in a sanitized glass jar so I could free up my fermenter for a saison. Now it's just in the fridge waiting. Any advice on how to reuse yeast?
Beer is like music. I don't have a favorite. I'll take a well-made example of any style!
