Who is everyone rooting for this weekend?  Anyone doing special beer/food pairings?

I would like to see the Saints win since they never have.  If the Colts win, I am fine with that as well.

Nothing special as for food and beer pairings for me.  I always drink whatever I feel like.

Did you put that recipe in the beer cheese soup topic? There's a shortage of recipes.

Since I'm not a big follower of the NFL, I generally just pick the team from the city in which I'd rather live.

This year, that's an easy decision that forces me to walk a fine line. ::)

Doesn't really matter to me. I'll watch it though. Beer and chili sounds good. I like the commercials.  8)

I really don't care who wins. I'm in it for the food. Party is at my house this year, and we are just doing cheap junk food. A couple pizzas. I'm making some hot wings. We are also making tortilla chips and salsa, and Holly is making a 7 layer dip. We'll also have a pot of chili dogs going, and whatever our friends bring. For beer, I have my Black IPA, house IPA, and a bourbon vanilla breakfast stout.

SO! Who's got a buttload of Beer and Food that they're going to be eating and drinking alone now?  ;D

We're passing on the party, so we can actually watch the game. There will be food, there will be beer, but I'll see the game.

I'd like to see the Saints win, but I'm not tied to it.  Chili, chips and cheese here,  For beer, wee heavy, Ofest, DAB, Belgian pale ale, dubbel, Torpedo, some others not defined or unknown.

Be careful with the Superbowl word. It's a registered trademark of the NFL and they sued some folks a while back. Us common folk can only use "The Big Game" to keep from losing everything we have. Only in America.

What, your not going to make your famous crock pot kielbasa in sweet and sour sauce, slow cooked to perfection for 36 hours?

I'm making Buffalo wings (regular and guacamole), potato skins, Kris' Bean dip, soft pretzels, and fried mushrooms, zuchinni, and onion rings. I expect to die of a heartattack about mid-third quarter.

On tap- Old Coot Brown Ale and Fourth and Long Red. OH! and I'm rooting for the Saints.
