Quick question here.

Is the inside bottom of an erlenmeyer flask perfectly flat?

I think my 2L one was (which I broke) but the 5L one has a dome to it.  Makes fitting it on the stir plate a challenge.

I should have specified a 2L size.

Some more so than others. I picked up a cheap 5L that I ended up returning because the bottom had an arch and the glass was so thin it made me really nervous to handle. I would recommend you invest in Kimax or Bomex and if you can, inspect before you purchase.

Both of my 5L flasks and my 2L have a nice flat bottom and never throw the stir bar.  My 1L however is slightly curved and throws the bar even at low speed.
