They transferred me to "Al."  I left a voice mail.

The lady who answered the main number said they don't typically sell to people like me.

I've tried Jackacki Barrel previously, too, with no response.

I should have gotten one years ago when I worked near Acme Barrel.  But who knew I'd want one so many years later...
i think you almost have to get it at Acme Barrel Company, just for the name.

Seattle Barrel doesn't typically sell to people like me either, but they liked the color of my cash :)

Acme is gone.  Long time notorious polluter on the west side.

I visited the plant due to my job at the time and it was NASTY.

Basically, they brought old used barrels in one door (had to be less than 10% of the contents left) and baked them in an oven or over a fire or something, painted them and rolled them out the other side.  Reconditioned vs. new is apparently a huge price difference.

Just got this last week.  Carbon steel welded into a ring.

I put two handles on it and smoked a 5 lb. brisket on Saturday.

I will need to tinker a bit for better temp control, but for the first test run it worked great.

Nice!

What's on the inside?  Looks like there's weld gring marks on the outside from the photo.

The put some angle supports for the grill.

I added some stainless bolts when I put the handles on so I can get two grills in about 5 inches apart.

I'm planning on smoking a ton of ribs for my sons first birthday.

I don't know, but I'm going to find out.  The over/under is one.  One rib.
