Mac and cheese
« on: November 07, 2009, 04:48:58 pm »
I love this one. Really simple, and awesome stuff!

1 Box of shell
1/2# Havarti cheese
1 handfull Parmesan cheese
1 package shredded cheddar cheese
2 can of condensed cheddar cheese soup
garlic powder
salt & pepper
a touch of brown sugar
all the bacon you can stand

Cook your shells, and mix with all cheeses, salt and pepper to taste, a little garlic powder, and a bit of brown sugar. mix in your bacon, and put it all in a baking dish. Add a good layer of cheddar cheese on top
Bake at 350* for and hour. Turn the broiler on for the last 5 mins to get the cheddar on top nice and crispy, and a little burnt.

Here it is with kielbasi, instead of bacon.

That looks good, I have been wanting to try something my wife and I saw on Paula Dean cooking show.  She makes a square casserole of mac and chess then lets it set up in the fridge then cuts it into 4x4 squares then deep fries it.
