50lb of PBW
« on: May 30, 2012, 03:01:32 pm »
My LHBS was able to order me a 50lb bucket of PBW for $165.  It's a new store, so he's not getting great deals from the suppliers yet.  Last time I bought that size bucket was quite some time. (think years) But, I only paid $120 at a different LHBS.

Anyway, even at $165, I figure it's a great deal.  The problem with having that much is you tend to over use.

If you store can get it, and your wallet can handle it, I sure recommend going this route to save some cash.

(sorry if this is the wrong list, I don't see one for "cleaning supplies")

Not a bad price, I see NB sells 8lb for $37 plus shipping.  I do like PBW, it seems to have more oomph than the oxiclean cleaners.

I got a 50 lb bucket for about $140 5 or 6 years ago.  Even with my wife using it to clean pots and pans occasionally I still have at least half of it left.  It was a great deal.

I didn't know they sold in that quantity. I will look into this at my LHBS. Thanks!

I checked and my "guy" sells 50lb PBW for $162.  The 5lb is only $18 though so his markup for the smaller quantities isn't bad (11%), not sure I'll spring for the big one.

5lbs for $18 is a good deal as well.  Around these parts, I usually see the 1 lb jar for $10.

Williams has it for 154.90, not sure how much shipping would be.
