I'm going to be in Kalamazoo in a couple weeks. Where can I get some good beer?

Go to Bells Eccentric Cafe. They have beers that are only on tap there.

Close by are Shakespears, which is a multitap in the old Shakespear rod and real offices, and the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. The Beer Exchange has market pricing on the screens, as more order a beer the price goes up, no orders and it goes down.

A little farther is the Central City Taphouse, a more upscale taproom. This is on the old pedestrian mall south of the Radisson Hotel.

Edit - Bells production brewery is in Galesburg, and you can take a self guided tour of the new brewhouse now. No beer, but it is impressive.

We'll now I'm excited! Its a work trip. (Yes , I'm driving 5 1/2 hours to put a furnace and a/c in, but the money is awesome! ) I'm pretty much only going to have a Saturday night, but a least I know I can get some good beer. And, bonus....the dude I'm doing the job for is a tattoo artist, so I may just head home with some fresh ink!

Weaze, if you plan on going to the central city tap house at all let me know. My good friend works there and can walk you through some good selections and give you the "local" rundown of good places to go. If you decide to go I'll let him know so he can find you if he's working.
