Brewpubs from Sonoma to Florence, OR
« on: June 17, 2012, 12:27:54 am »
Of course there's a catch, I'll be with two kids (4 year old and 2 year old).  I'm going on a camping trip and we are starting with a hotel night in the Napa area.  My wife and I both love beer but we have to be selective about which breweries to hit with the little ones.  Our stops are listed below so any can't miss destinations are  appreciated.  We have a lunch and two dinners in the napa/sonoma area and the rest would be stops for a lunch while driving between locales.

Napa
Humboldt Redwoods SP
Redwood NP
Florence, OR
Redding, CA
Lassen NP
Tahoe Area

Thanks for the help!

If you can make it over to Santa Rosa:
Russian River Brewing Co
Third Street Ale Works
Whole Foods Tap Room
and...
BJ's brew house and restaurant
IPA makes my day!

Thanks for the help.

We'd definitely love to hit Russian River.  If it's not kid friendly we can at least take a growler for the first night of camping!

Do the other two breweries have any outstanding brews to look out for?

i went to mendocino brewing in (i think) hopland.  i think is on the 1, there is the brew pub and the brewery at 2 different locations/cities.  also near there is a science/solar store, museum kind of thing that would be good for kids, or big kids like me.  bear republic is in healdsburg, you will likely be near there.  north coast is in fort bragg.  its been a while since i was around there, i'm sure a lot has changed.  there is a place called the friends of nature tourist club in the marin headlands/muir woods that you can hike into and have a beer, one of my favorite things in the bay area.
