Let's go with a Brown Ale, shall we? Perhaps from the Noti region of Oregon...

Good choice!  One of my favorite recipes.

I'm getting up early Saturday morning to brew an American IPA!

Nice!

I'll have to try some when it's ready Scott.

I think my buddies are going to come over now and do a little bluegrass pickin and brewing. That is a pretty awesome Saturday for me!

I think I'm finally going to get my O-fest brewed.  I've run out of emergencies and graduations and university orientations and replacing front doors and and and ...

Popped the yeast that's been in my fridge for 2 months last night and need to make the starter tonight.

Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

Apricot American Wheat is up next with a healthy dose of Columbus and Amarillo hops. I'll throw in a single decoction just for fun!
Beer is like music. I don't have a favorite. I'll take a well-made example of any style!

20 gallons of pale ale in carboys tonight.  Another 20 tomorrow.  Today's batches were single hopped with Mosaic and LR11.  Tomorrow will get Meridian and El Dorado.  Try them at NHC. :)

Last summer, the appease the masses who - while they liked my massively hopped/high ABV home brews - wanted something "lighter" for the warmer months in New England, I brewed a honey apricot wheat.

(Disclaimer: I did NOT know Ithaca Brewing had one of these when I made the recipe. I had just purchased too many apricots)

To my surprise, it was good. I'm not usually a fan of wheat beers.

So that's the plan today.

In fridge: Half Baked (Session IPA brewed on 4/20)
Aging: Ivan Drago Russian Imperial Stout aged w/ whiskey soaked oak chips (October?)
Up next: Honey Apricot Wheat

Today I kegged 5 gallons and bottled 5 gallons of a Pannepot clone (Quadrupel), and kegged a hard cider.  I might brew a citra pale ale tomorrow.

Yesterday my friend and I brewed 16gal of Cali Common for the Brewhemoth.  Everything went well.  I used Bru'nwater for the first time and the wort was very clear as a result.  We pitched last night and I have activity this morning, running a pressurized fermentation as usual.

A newby here.  Question - can I put standard caps on old twist off bottles?  Marty

No.  They won't hold pressure and they won't fit right, likely to crack the bottle opening.  You will need standard bottles for standard caps.

I bottled a tripel today and had a taste of my IPA made with Falconers Flight 7cs. Wow, I've got to grab some more of that blend. Tremendous aroma and big citrus flavor.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
