The thing I worry about with building one with a chest freezer and a collar is, what if the floor of the freezer gets dirty and you want to clean it? The collar would make it way hard to get down to the floor of the freezer to clean.
A sponge mop works great.
Ah, well, I'll have to remember that for when I do need to build a new kegerator. I just upgraded my current keg fridge by drilling a hole in the side to have the gas outside of the fridge to make room for an extra keg for lagering/carbonating. So, as long as this fridge lasts, I won't be getting anything new, but that goes without saying. Thanks for the tip.
