To the OP:

I love stuff like this.  I grew up in VT but would spend a week during the summer with my Aunt and Uncle in CT.  When I went to college, one of my roommates was from the same town in CT, and so is my wife ( met through the college roommate ).  It is amazing..."It's a Small World Afterall"  (there...you can all thank me for putting that song in your head for the next 24-36 hours  ;) )

it's a sign that you are living right and well, brother.

Oh, BTW, there is nothing in your story that relates to the definition of "irony". Coincidence, absolutely. I'd even go as far as saying spooky weird hand of God stuff. But not ironic.

I would file this in the "serendipity" class of experience.
