Getting close to freedom...
« on: June 18, 2012, 10:51:16 am »
So for those of you who remember me, the divorce finally went through last month, I found a buyer for the house, and should be moving into a new apartment by the end of the month. Yay me!

I have some stuff I need to get rid of, brewing and otherwise. I put up a classified here and I will probably post on another forum as well.

Just dropping in to say hi... I haven't been on in a while and I wanted to see who was still around.

Nate, sorry for what you're going through, but glad it's all getting resolved.
Best of luck to you.

Wow It's amazing these things take so long. Been nearly two years right?

Well, congratulations! Of a sort I guess. I'm sure it was an unpleasant process/ordeal. :-\

Wishing you the best Nate. Keep in touch.  Hopefully you'll have a second coming, back to homebrewing someday sooner than later.  :)

Room? Yes. But not enough power and nowhere to set up propane. I need to go electric... And 110v at that. I'm going to have to run 2 elements off 2 separate circuits.

Yeah, it's been a bit rough. And I think we started the process somewhere around Oct. 2010.

first good luck.
second, welcome back
third, if you can bring yourself to doing 2-3gallon batches, look at my electric kettle thread.  I am running a single 1500 watt element.  big enough to 4gallon to 170 in minutes and decent robust boil of 3gallon with no need of controls to reduce power.  circuitry can handle the wattage easily (12.5)  then power up if you need to/ or when your ready for bigger batches.  in fact two 1500 watts should easily handle a 6gallon boil
