My Mini Brew model
« on: June 26, 2012, 09:32:14 am »
I am making a little brew system for a shelf in my mancave.  I ended up purchasing a box full of old brass calorimeters at an auction last week and am working on making it look cool as a display.
Here is what I have so far, I want to make a little auger to bring in the grain and find a toy bin for the malt as well.
From the picture below, from the right to the left I have the
HLT
Mash Tun
Boil kettle
then the rest are just extra's.
On the far left is what I will call a still.  (Not sure if it shows up too well, crappy cell phone picture.)
Anyone have any ideas of other stuff to add?  I was thinking of a mini catwalk, but not sure what to make it out of.  I'm not too good at art. :(  I'm going to dig out the good camera, I can't get a decent picture with the phone I guess.

Fun project.

One of the items on my fantasy to do list is to build a miniture version of one of the old british floor malting houses that actually works (for like 10-50 lbs of grain at a go). Still very doughy though.

That's a cool idea.
You need to get a model railroad to deliver box cars full of grains.
