104 in the shade today, tomorrow and Sunday.
Maybe I'll try one of those ice-brewed lagers ;)

I got the saison kegged up early, only about 10 days from brew day! 1.036 to 1.003! actually tastes good. But there goes most of my brewing plans for the weekend. Guess I'll have to be happy with drinking

My goal is 10 gallons of hefe-weizen.  I'm going to take a run at it with some dry yeasts I have and see how they turn out.

I need to stock up for summer parties, and a nice wheat beer is always popular.

What yeast strain did you use?

two vials of the WLP565. I also mashed at ~148 for 2 hours. cold crashed for ~24 hours and it came out fairly clear. it was a suprise as I was expecting to have to wait for ages for it to clear up.

Boo! I'm not far behind. I at least have Sundays and the holiday off. No brewing for me this weekend either.

Kegging my Amber from two weeks ago and brewing up a Citra/Sorachi Ace Wheat! Should be a good time, but this 112* here in Phoenix is going to make chilling a little bit of a chore.

In the process of stepping up a slant of WY1450 for a Pale Ale.  Should be ready for brewing either on the Fourth or the following weekend.

I'm brewing a helles again tomorrow with Bohemian lager yeast.  Planning to do a Hochkurz decoction with rests at 145, decoct and boil for 10 or 15 minutes, then rest at 158 for 45 minutes, then decoct thin mash to get to mash out.  Diggin' the decoction mashing, this'll be my third time, so hopefully I'll get it right this time.

10 gals of saison (wyeast 3711) planned for tomorrow.  Also put on a kolsch starter and a wit starter.  Big plans for this week if everything works out.  Above plus 10 gals of Irish Red and an American Farmhouse later in the week if things go well.
Gonna have to keg a bunch of stuff to get fermenters for all this too...
Built myself a 50 foot immersion chiller today as well.

No brewing this weekend, but I bottled off the last gallon of my keg of Scottish 80 schilling to make room in the kegerator for a couple kegs of citra pale ale, one of which just finished dry-hopping.  I also took some time today to deal with 30 bottles that had been sitting in recycled PLC solution to soak off the labels, and organized my collection of empty bottles (beer and wine) in the basement.  And today I also alder smoked a couple springer chinook salmon I caught last weekend.  I enjoy smoked salmon washed down with a couple IPAs.
