Just got back from a short trip to Wisconsin. While there, I got to visit the infamous New Glarus! One more amazing brewery to add to my list of about 50. I travel a lot for work so anytime theres an opportunity to hit a brewery or a local brew pub I make it happen. I have some really good ones on my list including Stone, Green Flash, Russian River, New Belgium, Odell, Deschutes and Bells. Some day I hope to visit Sierra Nevada.

Anyone else out there travel a lot and do the same thing I do? What are some of your favorites and whats on your bucket list?

I was at New Glarus, but it was before they built the new brewery.
I guess we're talking about regional or production size breweries, because I wouldn't be able to remember all the brewpubs I've been to.
My two favorites have been New Belgium and Anchor.  Others I have been to are Rogue in Newport, Yuengling in Tampa, Brooklyn in Brooklyn, Lone Star (they had a fins, feathers and horn museum that was totally wacky), Coors a long long time ago, Cigar City (but it's in my neighborhood), Surly, and most likely several others that skip my mind right now.

Thats a nice list. I'd love to visit Rogue the next time I'm up in Oregon. The new facility at New Glarus is beautiful. They did a really nice job and I was very surprised by the size of the operation. For a brewery that only distributes in the state of Wisconsin, they're huge. I'm sure they spill more on the bottling line in a week than I brew all year!

The new New Glarus building is frippin' gorgeous. The things a cross between Swiss Chalet and Stainless Steel Palace. Oh and the fact that they have an exact ratio and hydrostatic pressure designed pilot system makes me love em even more.

I remembered a few more: Boulder, Bridgeport, Full Sail, Portland (Pyramid), Red Hook (both the one that used to be in Filmont and the new place in N.H.).

Even the old New Glarus brewery was impressive.  I got a nice photo of the sour barrel room with their brew dog, Murphy.  I wonder if he's still around?

What I really want to see is the new tasting room over at White Labs. If I ever visit SoCal, I think I'd take that over Stone or Ballast Point...
