No brewing for me either.  Tomorrow I'm headed to the Maine Brewer's Guild fest in Boothbay Harbor.  But when I get back to the sunny southwest I need to start brewing seriously again.  I have way too many empty kegs and no backups.

My brothers and friends have been over the last two weekends and have emptied all of my kegs :'(  This is the first time I have been out of beer in over two years.  I have a stout fermenting and many kegs to clean.

Ouch!  I know the feeling.  When my brothers and their friends come over, it's game over -- time to start brewing.

Smyrna, DE is hosting the very first beer, wine and food festival tomorrow. I'll then be celebrating my mother's birthday on Sunday at Bethany Blues in Rehoboth Beach, DE. No brewing this weekend.

I've got more than 10 empty kegs to clean . . . maybe I'll get to it this weekend, and maybe I'll get to brew during the next week.  I've got a pale ale to brew when I make the time.

Sunday is building a hop spider and testing/playing with my new March pump. Decided to celebrate my birthday six weeks early, rather than when I'm in the thick of things at work. Monday I took vacay and am Home Alone with my new toys. I'm brewing something and will know what it is in an hour, before I take off for errands including the LHBS.

I also have everything I need to drill a hole in my larger kettle (3-piece ball valve setup, step bit, etc.) except a spine. :-) I have enough to keep me occupied, though. Got home from church, got out the drill, the step bit, and the W40, and got it done!

Finished my brewing duties yesterday. Kegged my apricot wheat with a whole load of Amarillo keg hops. Brewed a dark fig saison for the holidays. If all goes well, I'll rack it on some bourbon oak and Brett b.
Beer is like music. I don't have a favorite. I'll take a well-made example of any style!

Nothing for me. This weekend was my annual summer camping trip. Stopped by Sierra Nevada on my way back. :)

Made a pale ale with Amarillo and summit. First time crushing my own grain, too. Hit all my numbers, very happy about that.

Made a schwarzbier Sunday with Blackprinz. - it's bubbling away nicely in my lager chest at 48F - German Merkur as the hops.  First try at a schwarzbier and hoping for a clean black lager to show off for football season along with my staples: helles, cap and German and Bohemian pilsners.

A super hot brew day, but the trees needed the water from the IC....and no one else in the neighborhood was working, so I had plenty of visitors.
