Came in from picking hops so I tuned in late.
The OCD is strong in me today...
Please tell the guy talking about Oktoberfest.
1. King Ludvig that got married when Oktoberfest started was not crazy. That was his grandson Ludvig II, who was king in the late 19th century IIRC. Built Nueschwanstein and the Hofbrauhaus, and may have been drowned as he was bankrupting the country.
2. He named 5 breweries at the fest. There are 6. Haufbrauhaus, Spaten, Lowenbrau, Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr, and Augusteiner.
3. Did not hear all the talk about the Reinheitsgebot. It was a Bavarian law, and did not become enforced in Germany until Bavaria became part of Germany in 1871 or so. It was a tax law, price law, and ingrediant law. There are so many exceptions today you really need to read the current tax law to see what the current "Reinheitgebot" says.
