Got my copy as well as a replacement copy of BCS yesterday.  I gave my copy of the latter to a friend who is getting back into brewing.

I still don't have mine. And I pre-ordered within the first hour.  :(

Email reply from the AHA says that the books were delayed by the printer and mine was supposed to ship out yesterday. But how can that be if everyone else is getting them? Especially in cities around me?  I no understand... :(

EDIT: Received an email from the AHA (quite quickly), detailing the delay. Seems that because I ordered a couple stickers, my order was shipped by the small staff at the BA warehouse, so it'll be a bit behind everyone. It's okay! I can wait for greatness. :)

I pre-ordered the last day of the sale, mine showed up yesterday, and just finished it today.

A great history of all things IPA, I really enjoyed the history aspect of the book.

I thought the "IPA Ingredients and Brewing Techniques" section was a little light, but I'm not sure what I would expect in a book about IPA.  The "Milling Your Grain" part takes up about as much space as "Water".  About 2 1/4 pages on Mashing?

Lots of recipes in the back.  I really enjoyed the stories that came along with some of them.

Aside from the history, I don't think I learned anything that will help me brew a better IPA.  Though I suspect that will be the case of people that spend a lot of time reading books, forums, blogs, etc.

I'll definitely recommend it to everyone, especially if they are into the history aspect.

Got my copy last week and have just about finished it. All in all I have enjoyed the read although I did find it to be a little redundant and repetitive as a lot of the history repeats itself through the chapters but it was definitely interesting to learn about the historical brewing and influence through time.

Lots of recipes to look through but somewhat ambiguous leaving a lot of room for interpretation on amounts and yeast selections. I definitely would recommend it, especially if you love IPAs!
