Club Activities and Learn to Homebrew Day (11/3/2012)
« on: September 12, 2012, 09:54:42 am »
What are some of the club activities that clubs have planned surrounding Learn to Homebrew Day?

We're milling around a couple ideas, including advertising an extract brewing demonstration at a popular local beer bar, but are looking for other options as well...Any ideas?

This year, our club is trying something new.  Instead of the parking lot at the crack of dawn thing we used to do, we have partnered with the Botanic Gardens here in town, and are having the event on their property.  There will be brewing demos, equipment, yeast, ingredients etc on hand to talk about, and beer to drink, including a wet hop ale we are about to make using hops grown at the garden.  Oh, and it'll be after lunch.

Here's our event page http://bluffcitybrewers.com/2012/08/27/learn-to-homebrew-day-2012/.

The Cascade Brewers Society in Eugene OR is holding our event at Oakshire Brewing.  We'll have 7 homebrewers doing demos as well as live music and food trucks.

Our club is doing a couple of exhibition brews and also a home brew contest to coincide.
What's the worst that could happen?  Beer?

We got some press coverage for our gig at the local pub. We are a small club in Northfield, MN. We did 3 batches, 2 all-grain and 1 extract. A good time was had by all!!
