Sam Adams Triple Bock clone

I think that's the first time I've seen that phrase uttered. ;D

Heavy on the soy sauce and molasses, please!  ;)

Not brewing this weekend.  In fact I don't think I'm brewing again unitl the snow is below 6" deep.  Lugging the spent grain out to the composter in waist deep snow is a PITA.  Plus the last two batches I did, I wasn't able to use my wort chiller due to having no place for the waste water to go, ended up doing a water bath.  Any way, I have a Dortmunder doing a diacetyl rest and my all Centennial IPA is happily burbling away (smells good too ;D).

I'm ready for spring too.

I am planning to make a starter for a Dusseldorf Altbier this weekend.

Taking a break from the brewing this weekend and enjoying the kegged stout and dark lager, and other random homebrew and craft beer in bottles for a poker night with the gang.   Someone will bring bud and miller.

Hoping the temps stay cool in the basement to finish off the 2 other lagers chugging away.

Is that your review of the SA Triple Bock?  I've never had it, but I saw the recipe in Microbrewed Adventures and found it intriguing.

Making my first yeast starter this afternoon.  Brewing a Green Flash West Coast IPA clone tomorrow.  After that (maybe Sunday or next week or next weekend) it's a Sam Adams Noble Pils clone and a Sam Adams Boston Lager clone.  Currently fermenting is a Ferocious IPA, Harpooned IPA (Harpoon clone), Czech Pilsner (Pilsner Urquell clone), and Clorona (Corona clone).

that's a pretty common description.  that stuff is only good in cooking, IMO.

I brewed my first Classic American Pilsner today.  My grain bill was German pils and instant polenta.  In about three weeks, I'm planning on pitching another CAP on top of the yeast cake with a grain bill of 6-row and flaked corn.  In April or May, I'll start comparing the two.   8)

I can tell you from experience, the one with 6 row and flaked corn is TREMENDOUS
I used German Pils and Grits, it was very good but not as good as with the 6 row and flaked corn

Dark Candi sugar for the Westy clone is made

Semi-virgin brew on the permanent installation of my 2 barrel system. Makin 50 gallons and splitting it 3 ways: 2 styles of American Wheat with a lager and ale yeast, and a Belgian wheat with raspberries. Wish me luck. Hope the burners work and the pump lasts.
