It's gonna get better now that I finally got a contract for Amarillo! I'll definitely send you some Denny since I owe you for hooking me up with Ted as my hop source! :)

Really glad that's working out for you!

I highly doubt it. I'm only getting 100 lbs or so. Probably all used for strictly dry hopping.

Week always goes too damn fast. Last day on the beach. Oh well, down to my last two IPAs and just ran out of coffee.

No coffee and no beer?  Time to go home anyway!

Vacations always seem to fly by. Hope you had a good one. At least there's plenty of beer to come home to.   :)

I hear ya Keith.  I always hated having to go home.  That's why I moved here and started growing my own coffee.  It wasn't easy and I left a lot behind, but it is way worth it.

I'm actually ready to get back. I like the beach a lot but I would not want to live here. I have a home on 7 acres of mountain land dropped in the middle of a fairly remote forest that I enjoy very much and a business that I am looking forward to get back too.

Not saying I wouldn't mind owning a beach house, but a week is enough for me.

Kinda the same way I feel about Hawaii.

Absolutely!  Be sure you tell EVERYBODY that.   ;)

My point above was don't spend all of your days wishing that you were someplace else.  Figure out where you want to be most, and then make it happen.  Thank goodness that everybody has different tastes in where they want to be most of all.  Otherwise the good places would be really crowded.  I am very fortunate to live in my favorite place in the world.

As to the OP - my wife and I had just finished watching the sumset at Honaunau.  While waiting for her to return from using the facilities I was looking at this forum on my iPhone.  Low and behold there was a picture of the sun setting 5000 miles away five hours earlier.  I had just taken a picture of the same sun setting on the same day over a different horizon.  I am old enough to marvel at the fact that I have a small box that I carry in my pocket that can share sunsets with someone on the other side of the world - instantaneously.  And I would have traded you a 4-pack of Hoptimum for a sip of your Yellowhammer.

Glad to see that you took some time off.
It is pretty busy around here in the fall so no time off for me.

I agree with you Carl, just have fun giving you a hard time. Though I do think, in some ways, the gulf is prettier than the beaches of Hawaii. That said, I'd dig having a coffee tree. ;)

And the thing about the sun setting 5000 miles away is pretty damn awesome.
