Where should I go (Providence, RI)
« on: October 02, 2012, 12:39:11 pm »
I will be going to a conference just south of Providence, RI (specifically Warwick).  I will have one afternoon to myself before I leave in Providence.

Having moved from PDX to Maine about 2 years ago, I am still not too familiar with some of the smaller breweries on the East Coast.

So, I ask you brew brethren... What breweries/taprooms must I visit?

The Mews Tavern in South Kingston / Wakefield has a very nice selection, pretty decent menu, and good atmosphere.  I go there whenever I'm visiting URI.

There's always the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Rhode_Island_breweries approach

Track 84 www.track84.com is a little hole in the wall by the airport in Warwick. It has the proper glassware and cleans them right as well.

Awesome. My in-laws live near there.
