I'm never quite sure how big of a hop starter I am supposed to make.
I started with two rhizomes and got almost a pound of dried hops this year.
Pre-ordered the book this morning. I've heard Stan talk a couple of times about hops and its interesting stuff. With all the new varieties coming out, I think it helps if you can look at acid and oil contents and draw some conclusions about the proper uses and the likely flavor results.
