I was hoping to brew a dunkel, but my single-tier brew stand build is going slower than anticipated.  I made five trips to my local Ace hardware today...grrrrrr.

Be thankful that you still have a local hardware store.  All most of have is a Home Despot.

Very true.  My local Ace is THE place!  One of the guys that works there helped me out a lot when I was putting together my gas plumbing.  Super knowledgeable, and he was very intrigued by homebrewing.

Our hardware store (name purposely ommitted) supplies the local moonshiners as well as homebrewers.  I was picking up fittings for my mash tun and the guy asked me if I was shinin'

Just about to start sparging my Pumpkin Ale.  The neighbors just polished off the last of the 2011 batch which was quite tasty for an 8.3% brew.
