About 10 years ago our club did a mass purchase of 100+ 10 gal. cornies.  We got them for about $15 each.  Time have changed.

Wow... that seems crazy now.  I wish I could find a deal like that.  I'd probably buy a dozen of them.  LOL

As the hobby grows, pricing for many items has increased.  Supply and demand strikes again!

If you figure that used 3 gallon cornies can sell for around $70, this price doesn't seem too out of whack.

But the days of $20 cornies are probably gone.

Very much gone unless you find a deal at a yard sale or such.

The ones at Adventures in Homebrewing have gone up to $45 used.

$20?  Yea, that's probably a historic number at this point.  But, if you are near Olympia, Washington, there's a guy on craigslist that sells lots for either $30 or $40 depending on how well the rubber top and bottom are doing.  All are pressure tested, and pressurized when you poick them up.  Plus, a new gasket kit with each.

We just picked up 20 of them, witht he 20 I already have, I should be good for a while.  And I sealed the deal on some used boilermakers.  So soon, I can move up to one whole barrell at a time....   Woo Hoo.....

Yea.  I still see them listed for $35 and $40, but they're inconveniently located.  Gone are the days of picking up two for $20 each when I get my gas refilled.
