Stillwater Stateside Saison
« on: January 05, 2013, 06:28:46 am »
Pours with a medium head.  Aroma of lemony citrus with a little maltiness in the background.  Some alcohol.  No hop aroma.  Appearance is orange-yellow and cloudy, good head retention, somewhat effervescent.   Flavor is citrusy, very slightly spicy with maltiness in background.  Slight alcohol in the finish.  Maltiness seems to subdue any tartness.  Medium light body, medium effervescence semi-dry finish.  Overall a very pleasant drinkable beer.  Not quite as efferevescent as most other examples, but still fizzy enough to be refreshing.  I would drink this again.
