So, Finally heading for Europe tomorrow...
« on: February 26, 2010, 02:03:22 pm »
and 11 glorious days of beer and food. Damn I'm excited. We'll be staying:

2 nights in Amsterdam
5 nights in Ghent
1 night in Bamberg
2 nights in Munich

Really the whole trip is centered around beer, I can't even list off all the breweries we're going to. But among things I'm excited about are, La Trappe, Cantillon Opening brew day, Rodenbach, De Struise, In de Vrede cafe, Boon (Frank Boon is giving us a private tour), Zythos festival, pre-Zythos festival, Nacht van de Grote Dorst, Weyermann tour, and lots of things I'm forgetting.

Man I'm excited - and there's a pretty good chance that I might die while I'm over there, so if I never talk to any of you again, these last couple years have been fun!  :D

Thanks guys!

PS, with this on my mind I just had an idea, we should change the "Post" button on these forms to a "Prost!" button.  :P

Lol. I wish I knew man. We're going with a group, so the host organized it.

I was under the impresion that they give normal tours, especially since they have a "How to get there" page on their website, but perhaps that is not the case? I know we get to check out the malting facility as well as their brewery.

That's cool.

They don't give public tours. But they do give tours to groups though.

Ah, well that explains it. I'm looking forward to that + drinking a bunch of Rauchbier.
