IPA Hop Combo
« on: February 07, 2013, 11:28:17 am »
Always looking for new IPA hop combos.  Anybody finish an IPA with a 1:1:1 ratio of Amarillo,Citra and Chinook?
I like the complexity of 3 hop blends, and the piney, resiny Chinook as a counterpoint to the citrus/orange of the other 2 seems like a possible good combo.

I've never tried it but looks like a winner to me!  I think I've seen that others have.  I've done Amarillo/Chinook/Cascade several times and love it.

I've done Amarillo/Citra/Columbus and Simcoe/Amarillo/Citra with fantastic results, and I have a brew coming up in a couple weeks with Amarillo/Citra/Mosaic/Motueka. I think Chinook/Amarillo/Citra would work great.
