The site says 1pm MST for the conference. 9am EST for the hotel.

The hotel EST time and the conference MST...someone is going to get this mixed up, I'm sure.

My concern is that you can book the hotel (9 a.m.EST) before you can book the conference (3 p.m. EST).  Although there is nothing saying the hotel $ are not refundable explicitly, sometimes when there is a deep discount on the room as there is here, it is NCNR.

Not usually a concern with conferences that are so likely to sell out.

The Marriott requires a 72 hour notice to cancel a room. I just finished snagging my room.

I didn't realize hotel registration opened so early in the day. Friday and Saturday are sold out. :(

There are a LOT of hotels in the area. Check other websites (I use hotwire all the time) for rates that are just as good if not better than the AHA rate at the main hotel. Most will be within walking distance or at worst a short cab ride away.

I didn't realize it either.  Luckily the guy from my club that I'm sharing a room with was paying closer attention.

Word on the street is that the AHA is putting new hotel links on the page very soon.

Yup, I got a room directly across the street (Loews) for just a few bucks more.

Friday and Saturday nights are sold out at the host hotel. We’re in the process of securing more rooms at nearby hotels and will post more information on February 6.

Playing with the numbers a bit more... by the time its all said and done, or perhaps bought and paid for is a better term. I'm looking at close to a couple grand to pull this trip off.  Think I'll put that towards a single tier and see you all next year.  Cheers and have fun... now where's my MoreBeer catalogue?

The pre-conference nights (Sat Jun 22 - Tue Jun 25) were also sold out, or not available, and I was in there fairly early. Were those nights limited or were they just never really available?
