The Denver siteis officially hosed. I was able to get it to take my info on a different e-mail address but now when I log in and click "Add entries" it brings upa page that tells me "I must be logged in to access this area"

I got registered on the Denver site but somehow it lost all my info. I can login but all the info (Name, address, etc) is blank and when I select "add entries" it takes be back to the login. Also, when I click "Edit info" I get a blank page.

Did this happen to anyone else?
Happened to me the first time, but now just the dreaded 503.
At first it said that one entry had been added to Denver, but now 0.
Good luck.  Entering an Old Ale? ; )  I am.

Haven't been able to get into the database for the Denver site yet, but the HTTP server was up long enough that I was able to register an account. Now that's 503-ing as well.

I've done enough web development that I'm sympathetic, but this is getting to be a pattern. We know how many members there are and that they'll all hit the server at once - what's the x factor?

66 entries in Denver.  I had to re-login, then 503d again.
Ouch this is painful.

Methinks AHA needs to get a better hosting solution.  Seeing mysql errors about too many connections is so 2001.

I love the AHA, but I am very disappointed in the server overloads. I mean there couldn't be more than a couple 10 thousand people trying to get in. That isn't that bad when you consider the bandwidth of big web pages.  Time to spend some money on server upgrades or better hosting maybe.

If I can't get in soon, I may just blow it off.  This is very frustrating.

This isn't a server hardware issue.  Last year a single small site handled all the volume for all 12 regions.  The problem is the competition software they chose.  It's clearly not designed to handle this kind of scale and that's not an easy fix where you can just throw bigger machines at the problem.  Plus, they now have 12 servers to manage rather than just one.

I honestly think the AHA needs to suck it up and shut down the registration while they figure out a new plan.  Especially before they start taking money for the entries.  Otherwise we'll have hundreds of people wasting their entire afternoons trying to get their entries registered.

Not usually a complainer, but 45 minutes and one entry accepted? Going to name my next entry "503".

My AHA membership is up for renewal this month. Considering that NHC entries are basically the only thing I use my membership for...
