On my brew days I typically listen to Public Radio news shows.  Boring I know but it gives me the opportunity to find out what's going on in the world and get beer made at the same time.

Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

My brew partner makes us listen to 70s pop/rock. Usually something between Fleetwood Mac and Hall and Oates.

I listen to Pandora, usually set to singer/songwriter station and play along with my uke or guitar once everything is set during the mash, sparge and boil.
What's the worst that could happen?  Beer?

Same here.  I've spent most of my life playing and writing music.  Unfortunately, at this point when I listen to music is just reminds me of work....

Depends on how I feel/what I am brewing:

For IPAs and big aggressive beers:
Pantera, Pre-Black album Metallica, Alice In Chains, AC/DC, Danzig, etc.

If I am feeling more laid back and enjoying the process:
Jack Johnson, O.A.R, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, acoustic albums, Bob Marley

I don't watch a heck of a lot of TV, so brewdays are frequently multitasking between brewing and cleaning out my DVR of stuff the wife won't watch with with me.

If I am listening to tunes, it's generally the less aggressive side of what I listen to. Either upbeat stoner rock (Fu Manchu, Kyuss, Clutch, etc.), southern sludge (Down, COC, BLS), or stuff like Witchcraft or the latest Opeth album. Basically bands from the last decade or two that sound like throwbacks to 70's hard rock.

All I listen too is the sound of my burners.  Actually they are so loud there's not much point in trying to listen to music.
I'd really just rather be brewing in sunny Carlsbad New Mexico
