Thanks for the input so far! I do like the Blichmann Bollermaker 10 gal, with all the options but a bit on the pricey side. I like the keggle too, but it looks so big. I think a sight glass is a must have option.

In priority I think a big pot is #1, #2 is drain, #3 is screen, #4 is thermometer and #5 is sight tube

A sight glass is nice, but I certainly don't consider it a must have.

I have the 32-quart Winware. If you're doing 5-gallon batches, the 10-gallon pot is a good idea, and not much more money.

It's a really nice pot. You can build on it as you go -- add a ball valve, etc.

Sight glass on hot liquor tank, yes.  On boil kettle no.

Get something big enough to do 10 gal batches.

I started with an entry level 9 gallon pot that was a 'scratch and dent' from Austin Homebrew. Over the period of a few months and a half dozen batches I added a kettle valve and a sight glass/thermometer combo from Brew Hardware. Quite pleased....

....until I decided to try BIAB and wanted the capability of doing high gravity beers or 10 gallon batches. Hello Blichmann 15 gallon Boilermaker  :)

Built like a tank and I'll pass it on to my heirs when I die. Pricey, but I don't regret it. Just getting the last of the parts I need to turn it into a gas fired BIAB RIMS system, I love being a engineering geek almost as much as brewing.
I'm only here for the beer....

Go with a 20 gallon kettle. And aluminum is better and far less expensive.
