Missing avatars
« on: May 21, 2013, 09:08:12 am »
This is just an observation, but I've noticed lately (within the last week, probably) that some people's avatars are missing.  The pictures are replaced with a broken image icon.  As an example, in a recent post (http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/forum/index.php?topic=15826.0), the avatars for poobah85, mabrunguard, and davidgzach are missing, while they are there for hopfenundmalz, HoosierBrew, and brewmasternpb.

Not sure what's going on.  I just went to that thread and every avatar shows up fine.

Many are missing for me.  This has happened in the past, and eventually they come back.

Dunno what's up.  They all appeared fine last night on my iPhone, but not today.

On this thread, I see only myself and Amanda.

Hubie and Hokerer have no avatars of any sort.  No broken link, nothing.

I'm seeing avatars for everyone but Hubie, and he has no broken icon symbol.  This was reported late last week and IT has been looking into it.

From Cindy in IT

"Avatars are back. Might have to refresh your browser a few times. Our server person said it looked like it was a problem with our web server compression. He's got us back up and running now anyways."

They're not back for me, I only see Amanda's.  I refreshed a bunch of times.  Oh well.

Did you try clearing your cache and shutting down your browser?
