I read comic books, travel, and I have two cats. Before I was in law school (in my last year right now), I used to also used to travel a lot more frequently, and read about 10-15 novels a year in addition to the comic books. Hopefully I can get back to that after I pass the bar (well, after I pass both the CA and NY bar exams).

A lot of my hobbies come from my homebrewing addiction.  I roast coffee, make sausages, vinegar, and hope to finally make some cheese.  I love gardening, mostly fruit trees, veggies and of course hops, and I love cooking.    My wife and I travel as much as possible, and beer usually figures into our destination somehow.

I envy you guys... almost all my time is spent commuting and parenting.  Somehow we find the time for a garden in the summer, replaced by shovelling in the winter.  I can barely find the time for homebrewing once a month.

I like to cook, which is how I got interested in brewing.  My two favorite sports are snow skiing and golf in that order.  I'm not much of a gardener, but I find working in the yard extremely therapeutic.  I read but don't make much time for it.

Same here!  I wonder how many homebrewers were into cooking first.

Opposite for me. I brewed, then I got into cooking.

Yep, making my own beer was a natural progression for me from cooking.

I just brew.
Please keep me away from cooking because nobody wants to eat it :(

I hear ya on the parenting.  Commuting is no big deal for me - I live less than 900 yards from work  ;D (I work in mapping, so yes, I measured it - about 800 metres including the driveway at work) and quite frequently walk - when I'm not driving kids to school or daycare.

Small town living rocks!  Pretty hard to see good live music, but I'm getting too old for that anyway  :-\

I have played soccer all my life, so I play indoor soccer in the fall and winter and try to get in an outdoor league in the spring and summer. I also play tennis, but can't seem to find anyone to play with.

I enjoy a good photo session in the park. I also enjoy dreaming about someday opening a small brewery/brewpub.  ::)

I would LOVE to get a nice mountain bike and get into that. My brother and I have talked about getting a two person scull for exercise.  I think that sounds like fun.

make sure you take lessons.  a lot of lessons.

I rowed for 6 years - it looks like its easy,  but to really make it enjoyable and get a good workout, you will need some coaching, some more than others.

Also, get on a concept II erg and row a few K and see how it is first  ;)
