Now if we can just get Pandora back into the box.

Yeah.  So far, so good, everybody, but please watch what you say.

I am a fan of free speech, and that right out loud and bold. I can do that in public or on my own private property. However,  this forum isn't either. Its not my private forum nor the public square. I'm a guest here so I chose to abide by the rules on the door.

Don't worry about it....just goes to show that we all care more about respecting each other than about spewing our political opinions.

I'm just curious, how does, "...they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights..." in any way promote religion?  You have to make some pretty strong assumptions to get to that conclusion.

What is being stated is that these rights are intrinsic to existence.  If you are alive, these rights are yours.   You are born with these rights; they are not bestowed upon you by government.

FWIW I am a spiritual person.  I am not offended by the commercial.  I think SA Cinder Bock ROCKS, and will continue to cast my dollar votes at it.

Sam Adams will always have a place in my heart. When they bought 20,000 Lbs of hop pellets in 2008, and than turned around and sold them to micro breweries with no profit. Just because they think competition forces them to make better beer.

I know it was just a publicity stunt. And I doubt they really want competition. But I still thought it was a really classy move.

Wasn't that because they didn't need the hops?  Was it intended to be altruistic?

Not sure about the hops, but I really respect Jim Koch for buying the rights to the New Albion trademarks and conveying them to Jack McAuliffe for free.

It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

So what do you all think about the Buffalo Wild Wings commercial poking fun at home brewers?  Ahh, never mind.  I'll just relax and have a homebrew.  :)

I thought that was funny.

I thought it was hilarious.  I relaxed & had a homebrew while watching it.
Perhaps it hit a bit too close to home for some folks though, judging by the comments on the page where I originally viewed it.

Random question. If you can't use religion or religious themes to sell beer. How is it ok to name your brewery after Ninkasi the Sumerian goddess of fermentation.

Because Jesus is the only god that counts in the US. Ever heard of He'brew? There's no problems with that one either apparently.

Hebrew doesn't necessarily refer to a religion. Come to think of it, neither does Jesus.
