I know that the common wisdom know is not to rack to a secondary.  Up to this point, I've only brewed ales and this method has worked out well for me.

Does anyone rack a lager to a secondary before lagering?

I just rack primary into a keg for lagering after I've slowly brought the temp down.  Works for me.

+1 to lagering in the keg.  But if I didn't have kegs I'd rack to a secondary for lagering.

Kegs are my secondary lagering vessels.

I also use a keg for lagering.  You could also lager in bottles if you don't keg.  After all lagering is just cold storage

I lager and carbonate in the keg. Then I usually jumper the clear beer to another keg for serving, but that's only because my lagering fridge is separate from my serving fridge.

+1, but those lagers eat up the keg space, so my ales are waiting to be kegged!  I may have to bottle some!

I lager in bottles since I don't have enough fridge space to fit a fermenter. Works just fine, but just make sure you carbonate before you start lagering.

You only need to rack if the beer will be lagered for more than a couple months.  Otherwise you can safely skip it.
